Default Tire sizing question

In the process of getting new tires and have some questions on sizing. I live in an area where if roads have pot holes less than 3" deep its considered "smooth" so I want a taller sidewall. I have heard people running 255/40r19 on the stock rears without a problem. Has anyone run 245/40/19? Also, I am considering the 245s for a bit of weight savings as well; plus the installers here sell the 245s for around $60 less/tire than the 255s for the kumho ecsta 4x -- and as a med student money is hard to come by.

Using a tire size calculator a 245 40 19 SHOULD fit on the rear, compared to the 285 35 19 that ive run before. Im not sure if your going to be able to find anyone who ran that tire size on the rear
