Default tire question

My wife had a blow out on a rear tire. I just purchased these tires less than a year ago. They run 425.00 each and was wondering if I should replace with the same tire or buy a pair of less expensive tires so they would be the same on the rear. I was wondering if any of you might have a source for better pricing on tires that you would share with me.

I have Michelin 255/35ZR19 Radial X on the rear

Thanks

John

Where are you located? I would replace it with the same tire. Should be a warranty unless she cut it on something. The should pro rate the tread wear and discount the new tire. If she cut it then no warranty.

I would try a different tire, that's a lot of money for a Michelin, I'm not too knowledgeable on high mileage tires but I know that they're are many sticker ties out there cheaper, like doc said if it's warranted go for that

Depends on how much you drive the car and the style that you drive. I have a heavy foot and can go through a set of rears every 12K or so. With that, I generally will buy a cheaper tire.
