Default Eibach springs and Koni yellow shocks? Will that stiffen up the cornering?

I would like to stiffen up the cornering ability of my SRT6 roadster and I don't really want to reduce the right height. I found a good deal on a new set of Eibach springs and Koni yellow shocks. Researching this thread, there is a post that says the Eibach springs might actually be "softer" than the stock SRT6 springs and also that they will reduce the ride height by about 1" (that's not really the direction I want to go). Hoping there is someone on the forum who is running this same set up and who can advise me on their thoughts about this mod. Also thoughts on whether just installing the Koni yellow shocks will help stiffen up the cornering ability of my SRT6. THANKS . . .

You will be better off with the srt springs. The eibach springs ride better(softer) than The srt springs but at the cost of performance during extreme cornering. Also the eibach springs will lower the vehicle.

if your srt6 is not tight enough maybe your shocks are shot?

Are you sure the spring and shocks are still stock srt6?

I purchased and installed the Koni yellows and really liked them, good shocks. Next came the Eibach springs but they didn't stay on the car for long. I was slower on the road course with the Eibach's. Eibach makes lots of great springs but what they sell for the Crossfire are more for looks and comfort than performance. I wouldn't put them back on my car unless I was giving the car to my wife. Currently, the best you can buy are the K&W's but they are a compromise. Aggressive for the street and still too soft for serious track duty. Expensive too and a bear to adjust. And if you want to stay at stock ride height don't bother with them. It sounds like you need some stiff sway bars. I want sways too. I'm waiting to see what Ground Control comes up with.

Hey Red Dog. I agree with Holy crap and Les. I am running the koni adjustable shocks that I got from Rob at needswings. They are much better than oem. After reading Les's experience with the springs I decided to stay with the stock springs. I am rumming 19'' on the front and 20" on the rear and don't want to drop the ride height. The donor car is at Ground Control and alot of us are eagerly waiting to see what they come up with. Enjoyed running with you at the Dragon.

THANKS to all who responded here with excellent information on their experience. I'm now leaning toward keeping the stock SRT6 springs and installing a set of the Koni yellow adjustable shocks. Hoping to see posts about those sway bars that are apparently in development at Ground Control.

are we 100% sure it is sway bars they are making? Also, how do you know if your springs are knackered

No, not 100%. But I believe I know what Justin is needing for his car and I spent some time on Ground Control's web store investigating what they specialize in.

Bars are one of the main things justin was focused on getting developed.

I'd be happy with bars, coil over conversion kit, and a lot of adjustabality everywhere. Then mono ***** to get rid of some bushings..Control arms, and the list goes on.

Put me down for dog leg curved camber arms that can't hit the sway bar ... period. Sway bars are at the top of my list too. I need more adjustability on the rear and I need it to hold the alignment. And any other parts that are better than what I already have. Coil overs that can be adjusted would be nice etc. etc. etc.

I am subscribed for this list as well.
