Default Michelin Pilot Sport, and the Pilot Super Sport

What is the difference between Michelin pilot sport, and that Michelin pilot SupersPort?

I need to change my tires, and the name on the tires that I have right now says Mission pilot sport, but they have the tread of the new Michelin SupersPort. Is it only change of name, or is it a completely new tire ?

If I look at the tires that iPhone presumptively they have the same tread pattern as the new super sport. Apparently I cannot Dix the super sport and the private sports..

Any comments on that subject ?

Thank you i, in advance
George

The side walls on the super sport is a little softer than the ps2 and the tread pattern is slightly different. The super sports are a little less money, Other than that they're pretty much the same. Tirerack.com gives the super sport a little better rating over the ps2. The left pic is the ps2 and the right is the super sport.

Thanks for your info's.

Are you sure that it's not they other way around ? The SupersPort would be on my left, and the PS2 would be on my right?

The pictures are right. If you're comparing the picture to your worn tires then they will look more like the super sport tread. Are your tires the pilot sport ps2's?

My old tires look like they are Michelin Pilot Super Sport, but the name on the tire says michelin Pilot sport.
But those fires are seven years old. I think they changed the name of the tire.
I think they went from Pilot sport, to Pilot super sport, for the same thread pattern.

If your tires are 7 years old they can't be the super sport because they didn't go on the market till 2011.

I loved my old PS2s for handling. I love my new Supersportts for the combination of ride and handling. If you want a better ride the supersports are the way to go. I think that's why they are rated better. If you want a little better handling at least based on my original PS2s then they are the way to go (in my opinion).

Try Goodrish g-Force Sport COMP-2 if you want summer (3 season) tires, Michelin owns BFG, I've had then on for a year and they're great, and a lot less money the the Michelins.
