Default Chrome wheels, fresh tires! !

So here it is, my 2004 w/ 51,000 on it.
I bought an entire set of 4 factory wheels and had them powder coated chrome. Bought brand new Continentals, tpms monitors, and a set of red aluminum caliper covers.
I put everything on yesterday and went for a drive and all is good. ....
I got compliments all the time before, I can only imagine how people are going to react now that I've got some bling going on! !

This is a Borla cat back, and it's not loud at all, just alot "throatier". ...They're website described it like just turning up the bass on your stereo, it doesn't really get louder, it just sounds alot better and reminds you that you have a sweet Benz v6 under the hood. . =)

Very nice! Did you have any problems with getting the TPMS to work?

I didn't have any trouble at all with the tpms. I've driven it about 100 miles with the new wheels, tires and tpms and so far, no light on the dash.
I haven't tested it by leaving air out though. ....
I'll try it once it's a little warmer out. ...

Was wondering if those are the MGP caliper covers from their website ( https://www.calipercovers.com/ ) or some other brand..???

Also the price paid, as the website for MGP has the Xfire covers at $230 for a set of four (4), red or black.

Seems a little steep, but I'm guessing that's their going rate...

Your wheels look outstanding...!!!

Also did you install the covers, as the install looks pretty straight forward on the MGP website...??

Any info provided on make, where purchased, and install, is appreciated...

Thanx

I've got a black set of the MGP caliper covers on my 2007; has the Crossfire lettering on the covers. Install is really simple & straight forward. I bought from an authorized retailer for MGP. There are several on Amazon or look at eBay. You'll save probably $30-$40 vs. direct buy from MGP. I got my set for < $200.

I've also got a red set on my 2006 F-150 STX 4x4 Flareside and has the Ford Logo machined on the covers.

I expected something very cheesy, it looks really good. The chrome and white is a really good combination.

Looks great, thanks for sharing! Details, please, about how you did the new TPMS sensors? The documented way people here point to is use only OEM-type Schrader units, which then also requires finding Chrysler dealership DRB III scan tool plus Crossfire-Sprinter multiplexer cable plus Crossfire software card. This is what it takes to "relearn" the on-vehicle electronics to the new TPMS sensor IDs.

I would like to find if anyone has used the newer clone-able sensors, which can be programmed with the previous sensor IDs.

Which way did you use?

Later,
Thanx for the info...

I was gonna paint my existing calipers red, but to be honest, the MGP Covers seem like a simpler straight forward fix.

Paint kits can be had for around $30 bucks, but the covers look much better, and alot less messy than screwing with paint.

As they say, you get what you pay for ($30 versus $200)...

Thanx Again...

Very nice, caseydeankopp. Very nice.
I'm an old old-school guy who loves the chrome wheels.
These are chrome plate (the old fashioned way) done in 2005.
Be sure not to use any chrome polish on your powder coat wheels.
Just the stuff you use on the paint on your car. Chrome polish
will ruin them.

You'll have to click on the thumbnail to get the big picture.
I can't seem to get a full size image in my post.
