Default Intrax Springs

Has anyone installed these on their Crossfire. I was all set to buy the Eibach Pros but these babies go a bit lower. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

read this....'nuff said

Summary:
These springs are terrible, highly recommend to buy anything else accept these. I am better off with cut stock springs.

Strengths:
Nice drop in the front.

Weaknesses:
To high in the back, really rough ride. I have to slow down for every bump in the road or else I will here a big bang coming from the front of my car.

Granted this is not on our car, but you don't see these types of reviews from Eibach.

Hey, thanks a million. That was immensely helpful. Another reason why this forum is so invaluable.

figured he sum it up best. eibach makes some of the best springs out there, no matter the application.

i had both intrax and eibachs on my previous car and would say that intrax out perform the eibachs, but the eibachs are a better quality ride. the reason is if you read up on them they are different type springs. intrax being a linear drop, eibachs being progressive, that means intrax are stiff all they time, eibachs stiffen up as they are pushed or compressed. so with all that being said, i would recommend them from past experiences if you want to go with a lower drop than what the eibachs give.

The springs do affect the drop but you can also change the spring pads for a lower drop effect with the eibachs!

I ordered a set of these...or at least I thought I did. They never showed up and they won't answer there phone. I've seen mixed reviews ("Too low, not now enough, these are great/horrible"). It seems like it matters what car they are goiing on. None of the reviews I read elseware were from x-fire owners. Almost all the people said that it did not lower the car the advertised amount. I was wondering how yours perform, if the car looks level, and what the final ride height ended up being.

I have sold the car, but I remember the ride, I loved the ride and the ride height, check out my old pics of the SRT-6. I would have like to upgrade the shocks but it was sold too soon. Good Luck!

According to the Intrax website, it looks like they no longer produce any suspension options for the crossfire.

Intrax drop lower than the competition. Here is my opinion that I worte on my website a few years ago:

My Suspension Combo DEC 2007:

This suspension set up is the best in the industry for the money. The shocks are adjustable to your driving needs a comfortable ride in the city or a stiff racing characteristic. The springs are less expensive than eibach and it’s a lower drop.

KONI SPORT: Are adjustable, which means that you can influence the behavior of the car to meet your preferences (ride comfort, handling balance, etc.).
Koni North America - ITT - Sport

Why the industries first adjustable shock is still the best:
  • Big handling improvements
  • Reasonable ride quality
  • External rebound adjustment on most cars
  • Best KONI shock for all lowering springs
  • Re-buildable and re-valveable for custom vehicle setups
  • Yellow exterior finish
  • Lifetime Warranty
And
Intrax Coil Springs:
