Default 17" Rims

I understand that some earlier xfires had 17" rims. I would like a better ride than what I have on my '05 crossfire base coupe, and 17" would allow for a taller tire. So if you have upgraded, and have a complete set, I would be interested. Any comments appreciated. I am aware that the looks might change for the worse.

NO models had 17" rims actually
All had 18" front and 19" rears from the production line

Thanks, I was not sure. My tires ride like a noisy skateboard with rocks for wheels, I want something with a little more sidewall height for a more comfy ride. I going to look at a set on saturday, guy claims they came off an xfire, probably aftermarket then..

So I found four 17" Rims by AFFALTERBACH, never heard of them before. They are crappy looking cosmetically, and the overall stance has lost its "coolness". Fronts 225/45 R17 and rears 255/45 R17 which gives me about the same overall tire height as stock. Speedo still agrees with GPS. Just for experiment, I tried the 255/45 on the front..........NOPE, tire interferes with the upper ball joint. Another info note, these rims cannot use the original wheel bolts, you have to get some shorter ones with no shoulder. Well the car is so much quieter with less aggressive tire treads, and a much softer ride with just that inch of sidewall added.
If there is anything I should know about these rims, give a shout.
