If it is just the gas charged shock that doesn't work and the sleeve and the extension adapter with a button are OK, then you can buy a replacement shock


for about $22.00 on Amazon. 1. Take the hood shock support off the Crossfire. 2. Press the extension button and slide the gas charged shock all the way out. 3. Unscrew the extension adapter. With the new gas charged shock, just reverse the procedure. Takes all of 10 minutes, if that.
