Default Ash tray module

Does anyone have an ash tray section of the front console, with the ash tray not working, that would be the complete unit including the cigarette lighter socket and lighter if it is there.
I intend to saw off the rear portion of the ash tray and just use the face plate of it. It should not be scratched up. I hate to saw up a unit in which the ash tray works.
I have a working unit and a deal could be reached on a swap. These units are not cheap in working condition as I have found out. I would buy a broken unit if you have one.

Hi Dave,

I read your post and thought . . . "Gee I had a bunch of ashtray sections and parts but I may have thrown it all out". Then a few days later I realized that since I NEVER throw anything out, I probably still have it all laying around somewhere. I found pretty much what you want . . . I have the ashtray section of the dash assembly (but no ashtray mechanism or face plate). It includes the silver face plate for the air bag light (no light) and the silver cigarette lighter face plate with lighter socket (no lighter) The two silver face plates (air bag light and lighter socket) are in perfect condition. E-mail me at RedDogNumber1@aol.com and I can send you a photo. If you want what I have I'll send it to you in the Great White North . . . no charge . . .

Happy (US) Turkey Day!

Thanks Bob, but an hour before you posted my reqest had been answered by an offer by Steve Jr. Taking a saw to a working a working ash tray was not something I was willing to do.
The reason I wanted one was because the bottom rear of the 2xDIN sleeve fouls the top of the ash tray part of the unit as it lies horizontal and the sleeve points down, the rear of the GPS unit would foul it even more. I wanted the ash tray to work but it was not to be with my layout.
Offers like these show we have such a great bunch of generous people gathered here and why I am really grateful.

Hey Bob , I'm going to send him a complete assembly. I'm replacing mine this weekend. Minus the lighter, of course. You can put those things in the console , then find'em under the seat. It's like they "try" to escape. I bought an assembly, that's never been used (tray or lighter). Dave does so much for the forum, figured I just give back....Happy Turkeyday , to all....
