Anyone got a console bin to replace the cupholder for sale?
The maker, Tasco and all the parts dealers list it out of stock or discontinued.

 

Depending how much you are willing to pay there is one on eBay right now. It comes in a stripped centre console, just the bin in it, all the other trim has been removed. It is about $110 plus shipping.
If you want it be quick as someone else on here might buy it before you.

BTW, I've used your Index extensively since acquiring our "new" Coupe (Silver Bullet II):

• Sticky Key Fix
• Rear Speaker Repairs
• Front Speaker Replacements
• New Stereo Head with a Power Acoustik PDN 626B (GPS, Rear Camera, Bluetooth, SD Card, Photos, Video Play)
• Re-soldered relay

The Power Acoustic connected perfectly to the factory Amp even though its pre-amps were only listed as 2 Volts. Was able to tie in to the reverse signal cable under the passenger floor and the parking brake signal cable in the center console (needed to operate the video/photo viewing operations, though I can't imagine sitting in a parking lot to view videos on a 7 inch screen - but it's there)

We survived Michael - but our mates to the east really took a hit.

OTOH, I'm sure I'll enjoy not struggling with the annoying cupholder.

 

I'm also looking for a console storage bin that replaces the malfunctioning Crossfire cup holder!

 

Well, I took the 3D Image created by crossfire member kurtp13 (much thanks for the CAD files) and had it printed supposed to get by Tuesday and made out of nylon material, cost about $76, will tell you if my gamble payed off.

 

If there's more than 5 people interested, I can see about playing with resin casting my bin. I'm not experienced enough with casting to be able to custom mix colors yet, but I could probably do a dark grey no problem. Colors could follow later, though

The color I got was white from the 3D printing, so got to figure how to paint it silver, black or grey.. sigh

 

I put the bin out of a 1997 Saturn SL1 in mine, $2.00 at pick your part. I did have to remove 1/8 inch from the opening length and remove the side tabs on the bin but other than that a great fit.

 

Someone took the guts out of a broken cup holder, filled in a few holes and had a serviceable bin.
