Looking for drivers side (UK) front bumper indicator
Hi,
Just joined the forum after purchasing my Crossfire last week which I'm loving so far!
Unfortunately the car has a slight bit of damage on the bumper however this allowed me to pick up the car for a good price!
Does anyone know where I can purchase a clear lens front bumper indicator? I see in the USA they are orange but as I only need to replace one it would be great to find a clear lens. It's for the drivers side (Right hand side)
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks Front Right Bumper Indicator (Clear Lens) UK

I guess the UK mandates an amber light on both sides of the front? IF not, why the amber bulb in the socket? Would you 'fail' some kind of inspection/certification for being able to use it on the road with a clear lens even if there is an amber bulb?

I have thought this question through since yesterday and I cannot wrap my head around it, please explain it more for this old geezer.

Yes, that is correct, it has to be amber/orange bulb, not allowed to show white light to the sides.
A clear lens and amber bulb is fine, amber is the important part for the bulb.

It is as clear as this question DOES THE UK REQUIRE A SECOND FLASHABLE AMBER LAMP ON THE SIDE OF THE CROSSFIRES as turn signal lamps? There are the MARKER lamps in the front lower fender in our crossfires. No one has said it flashes. One said it can be modded to flash (not what I asked). Our US models do not flash, they are MARKER lights and do not work as TURN SIGNALS. I know the turn signals are in the headlight assembly top (almost center) and they are amber, and they flash when commanded for a turn (or 4 way flashers). I have seen many other cars (not crossfires) that have a SIDE mounted additional flashing turn signal in European vehicles. Two distinct questions about one subject. IS the side mounted marker lamp in the UK crossfires (clear lens and amber bulb) also required to flash like a turn signal lamp. IF NOT, is there a requirement to have a second set of turn signal lamps on a UK crossfire side FENDER. I cannot make it any clearer, so if you don't get it yet, then forget it.

You sure can muddy the waters, UK Crossfires have one side marker per front side, it is clear and flashes orange when signalling and is just orange when the lights are on.
European cars are probably similar as they had to conform to EEC regulations. Flush side markers like ours may not be acceptable.
Crossfires intended for northern states and Canada had block heaters as standard equipment.
Not what you asked but a little more knowledge helps.
