OLD Key Fob??
OLD Key Fob??
Looking to find someone that has a Crossfire Key Fob laying around that they don't need / use. (Yes I know I can't make it work to start my Crossfires). I just need to replace the circuit board in one of my fobs. Please e-mail me directly at RedDogNumber1@aol.com. THANKS, Bob Davis
Re: OLD Key Fob??
This could be an option for you to salvage a circuit board. Buy it now for $9.99 and it includes the shipping.

Re: OLD Key Fob??
I received an almost perfect OEM Crossfire key fob from that E-Bay seller (for $9.99 delivered to my door). Good communications and good service from that E-Bay seller.
Rather than put the circuit board into my aftermarket key fob (which was my original intention), I'm going to switch out the transponder chip, change the key blade and program this OEM key fob to my Crossfire. Essentially I got a "like new" OEM key fob for $9.99. Very Happy THANKS again Toolman . . .

Re: OLD Key Fob??
The codes are of the rolling type.
I guess we will find out if it works or not.
I have a suspicion that the very act of putting the key into the ignition and exciting the chip and the SKREEM will cause the SKREEM to deny synchronization with an alien transmitter. Otherwise why would you have to put it in the ignition if a connection to the SKREEM was not necessary.

OK . . . I just swapped out the transponder chip, and the key blade into my "almost new" OEM key fob that I received from that E-Bay seller. I did the "snyc" procedure and everything worked perfectly. It starts the car and all the key fob function work as they should. I believe (in harmony with what onehundred80 just related) that the "new" key fob will only sync up to the car if the transponder chip installed is the correct matching one for the car. Anyway, I enjoyed a successful result from my $9.99 key fob purchase.

Well, this is Bob. Nothing ever goes wrong for him.

If only that were true . . .

I have a couple old key fobs. I don’t know that they all work for all the crossfire cars but I have 3 spares and can part with two if anyone can use them.
They come from my 2008 limited roadster. ( I fairly certain that’s what I have anyway) it’s a blue convertible
