Hello. Just joined the group this morning. I am traveling this weekend to look at an '05 roadster - black with red interior and manual transmission. I'm 6'-5" and the coupe is too short in the headroom, so hoping that I fit in the roadster. I have a few questions for the group.

1. Is anyone dissatisfied with their XF?
2. What problems should I look for?
3. Is it reasonable to use it as my everyday driver. Twenty miles through town round trip to my day job. Max 35 mph (Legally).

Any thoughts would be highly appreciated. Love the car - wish headroom was larger. Size really does matter after all.

I think you are going to be extremely uncomfortable because of your height. Short trips with the top down may be tolerable but you probably need to look for a better fit.

Dissatisfied with the car No dissatisfied with the dealers not just a yes but a Hell Yes.
Your 35 mph will leave you wanting more speed. I find this car shines most at the top end ie 90 - 140
and problems to look for take a long test drive long being at least 30 minutes of every kind of driving you can. Interstate, back roads, main roads. If your still satisfied which you probably will be (if you can get in 6'5").

Be careful when you put the roof up, as the metal crosss member stops about an inch from my head even with the seat on it's lowest setting and I am only 6'3".

I've owned my car for close to 10 months now and the only issue, as stated previously, is finding a knowledgeable tech and dealer that understands these cars. My problems have been unique and I don't want to taint anyone against the car because of it... because I still love the car! But the car is awesome - I drive approx. 35 miles a day to and from work and find myself wanting to take the long way home many days because its so much fun to drive.

Regarding your height - I had someone in the passenger seat that was 6'4" and he was jammed in... he tried to drive the car and found his knees were hitting the area under the steering wheel, making it hard for him to really get comfortable. But its your call... If you can bear being uncomfortable because you love the ride so much, then go for it... but if you only fit when the top is down, then that might be a problem for you... or not!

Good luck, whatever you end up doing!
