Default Rear Tire Air loss

I have been experiencing since new a loss of 6 pounds of pressure per day on my left rear tire. There is no hole or puncture. The tires are the Conti all season tires. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Not to give you a short reply, but I would suggest taking the vehicle back to the dealer and explaining that you are losing six pounds per day in the left rear tire....

Your wheel might have a crack in it allowing the air to escape. 6 psi a day is abnormal. Take it back to the dealer and have them inspect the rim or try a new tire on it to see if you have a bad tire installed. Also, it could be the bead seal is no good, which would cause the air to leak. But that would be more dramatic.

Good Luck!!

That happened to us on one of the race cars, turned out to to be a loose valve stem. But the cracked wheel sounds like another logical problem.

if your xf is equipped with air pressure sensors, they are a bolt in style, and might not be torqued properly (causing a air loss). just my 2c....
