Default Question about eurocharge tune?

Can you keep your rev limiter at 6000 when you get the eurocharge tune, or do you have to take it off?

Looking at the Eurocharged site - RPM Limiter is not listed as a change when doing a standard tune, but RPM Limiter IS listed as a change with the TCU tune.

You bet - and, yes - the TCU tune is only for the SRT6.

I'm pretty sure I've read on the forum the rev limiter is removed on the ECU tune for both SRT6 and N/A! Someone might want to double check but I'm fairly sure that's a relatively big part of the tune!

Oh, I emailed eurocharge a while ago and asked them about it but they never got back with me, looking at the site, srt6 says it takes off the rev limiter, but N/A just says it adds hp and tq, but I thought I seen an advertisement for it on the forums that said takes off rev and speed limiter and +7 mpg, also +24 hp +24 tq. I would prefer to keep it on. But if it has to be done then so be it.

Can anyone validate +7 mpg? I already see 28-30 on the highway and another 7 would be attractive (as would the extra power).

I just called them, and they said you have options on what you want and improved gas mileage is one of them, also you have the option with the rev limiter and speed limiter, and obviously +24 torque and +24hp. There maybe more i don't know, that's all we discussed, I think I read on the forum that the fan comes on at 10 degrees sooner.

From talking to the guys at eurocharge he said in the program you will have options of what you want done, so I don't see why not, here's there site it has their number on the bottom. http://www.eurocharged.com/products/crossfire-tuning/n-a/crossfire-performance-engine-software-with-free-cable-222-detail

Pretty sure those are the numbers keeping all things stock except for the ECU tune. That's what you get just with a tune. You can have it retuned if you mod it (Needswings Cold Air Intakes, Bigger Throttle, etc. etc.) and gain more hp. May or may not be additive but they retune based on you vehicle being stock or based on the list of mods you add.

I'd like to know how they get those figures, presumably you would have to take the engine out and test it on a dyno. I do not think that you could just add a figure to the stock hp. Actual figures for cars themselves would all vary when you got the hp at the rear wheels, autos and MT figures would vary because of the different gearbox losses and each car would have its own engine hp due to building tolerances.
Just asking.

Just got the tune a few days ago, it definitely is faster, that and the sprint booster are a good combo, but I prefer the sprint booster on normal or when he green light is on, I'm glad i have it, did not have a lot of time to test it out because after driving it for a while there was a thump sound, sounded like it was coming from the drivetrain every time I accelerated hard or even moderately in 1st or second gear, then the next day I heard a rubbing noise while pushing the accelerator pedal while already moving, at like 25 mph, so i don't know maybe it's the rubber U joint, Im not an expert on cars, I had to take it in to my mechanic, hopefully he can find parts for it.

I asked one of the guys at Eurocharged and he said you could keep the rev limiter on, The reason why I wanted it on was in case a friend drove it or an auto shop ended up driving it, that way I wouldn't have to worry about them running up the RPMs, besides the manual says it uses 100% torque at 5700 RPMs.
