2007 Crossfire Alarm Issues/Key Fob does not work
2007 Crossfire Alarm Issues/Key Fob does not work
I go to get n the car and the key fob does not work, I use the key to open the door. Alarm goes off. Go to start the car and engine starts the battery dies, Try again same thing, now nothing. Get all the idiot lights but will not start. No click, no starter nothing I replaced key fob batteries, still nothing. Been looking at a few threads and most folks say replace the battery. Yup, its an 07 with the original battery. Started fine today, no indication of bad battery. Now it did rain like a wall of water for about 15 min. Any idea if something got soaked. I plan to check out the engine compartment tomorrow morning. I have a fluke digital VOM and plan to check the cells for a short.

Try the Following from a previous post:
Chrysler Crossfire switchblade remote key starts the engine but the remote doesn't work.
The switchblade remote key can lose it's synchronization if the buttons are pressed too many times when not in range of the vehicle. If this happens the solution is to simply resynchronize.

The switchblade remote key can lose it's synchronization if the buttons are pressed too many times when not in range of the vehicle. If this happens the solution is to simply resynchronize.
Resynchronization:
- Insert key into ignition. Don't turn it.
- Press the lock button on the switchblade remote key twice in 2 seconds.
- Turn the key to ON or RUN within 30 seconds.
- Take the key out. Exit vehicle and have the doors closed. Test the remote.
