Great progress! Car idles rough and dies
Re: Great progress! Car idles rough and dies
No, the UltraGuage is a full time monitor, it just reads and resets codes as a part time job.

I also have a $19 Autel MaxScan MS300 that does a decent job also.

Re: Great progress! Car idles rough and dies
The 2 tools I mentioned ONLY read and reset the P codes, they DO NOT read the engine computer like STAR-DAS.

Re: Great progress! Car idles rough and dies
Guys,
i got a bunch of cylinder misfire codes.
p0300
p0301
p0302
p0305
When i spray something on the line between the throttle body and the intake, it runs smooth. I am begining to suspect my O-ring. I will look for it and give it a try. I did open my throttle earlier on so i am suspecting i didn't put it together right. Definitely a vacuum leak somewhere around there. Did anyone have this issue before?
Thanks guys.

Re: Great progress! Car idles rough and dies
another forum thread suggests these codes indicate insufficient fuel into the cylinder. The AFR is calculated based on the MAF reading, if you've got a vacuum leak between TB and intake, then you'll be putting extra air into the engine that isn't accounted for. this would cause insufficient fuel for this volume of air and then cause misfire and engine codes. Also makes sense that it idles rough since vacuum will be most pronounced at idle when the butterfly is mostly closed. So i'd say definitely a vacuum leak where you reassembled, you seem to be on the right track.

Tjb421--
Thanks for more insight. I went last night to order one, but they never have it in stock. Have to wait until Friday or Saturday sometime.
RED DOG--
I appreciate all the guidelines you gave me earlier on. It helped me to figure out all the security system issue. After everything is done, i will post a detail information of my encounter with this crossfire! I will also upload pictures of it now. I can't wait to get it on the road.
Thanks and i will be getting back with the solution for other people that happen to fall into my situation
