May 12th run for a good cause. Please look!
July 12th run for a good cause. Please look!
On July 12th, 2009, (sorry for the mixup) there will be a very special run that we are requested to attend. It will start in Exeter, RI and end in another area of the same town.
The reason for this run is a charity. Ben Carpenter was only 43 years old when he passed away last year from a massive heart attack. Ben was in the Auto Body Business and was helped by some folks that bought him the tools he needed to learn the craft. This ride will allow that tradition to continue as all funds will go to the scholarship fund in Ben's memory.
The Ben Carpenter 1st Memorial Run is dedicated to that memory. My buddy, Bob Mageau is heading up this event which will inlude Motorcycles, Classic Cars as well as PT Cruisers. The cost for this is $25 per person which gets you a ticket to the whole deal. At the end of the ride, we will all converge at a VFW hall on RT 2 in Exeter where we will have dinner. The ticket will get you the dinner as well.
I was asked to gather as many cars as possible for this event which will be a yearly thing. It will also get us out there to meet others who share our passion for cars and bikes and fun. I can assure you that you will have a great time and help a great cause.
Please let me know if you can attend so that I may get a number and head count.
This is our opportunity to give something to the community. Thanks for reading.

On another note, the wife and I took a ride down the Cape today, lots of lookers at my car and it was shiny bright and lookin good. Not another one was seen anywhere.

We will all gather at The Exeter Harley Davidson store. If y'all want to meet up with me for breakfast we can meet at Cracker Barrel and it's just a short ride to the meetup spot, from there. We are supposed to start gathering for the ride at 11:am. I hope that clears things up a bit and more folks can make it.
