Took the family out to dinner a few months ago and spied a gorgeous Crossfire in the parking lot...pupils dilate...heartbeat quickens...adrenaline rush just looking at it!

Been years since I'd seen one and I've always loved the styling.

After a couple days of thinking about that car I decided to search the internets and was surprised at how affordable they had become and also became fascinated by the ill-fated love-child of Chrysler & Mercedes.

Eventually I found this forum and have been lurking for awhile.

Spending lots of time searching the roads and scanning the classifieds for Crossfires.

Don't have one yet but definitely actively trying to talk myself out of one

Hello everybody! I'm envious of your beautiful Crossfires.

Owning one has been a childhood desire of mine as they came out when I started to get interested in cars.

Now I own one and have done for a month, its taken about that amount of time for the surprise of it to wear off.

Now I cant stop looking at it...

Regrets? None.

I identify with your appreciation for the design and construction of these cars. Each time I see one I am struck by the beauty of the design and, after a beat, recall I own one, too.

There are a number listed for sale in the Classified section including mine which can set your hair on fire.

Thanks for the warm welcome...I only have 3 good reasons to hold off on the Crossfire; they're 7, 2 and 2 months old.

My wife won't let me throw them in the trunk. Even if they fit just fine.

I'm still formulating the perfect justification to make the Crossfire necessary.

When I arrive at my excuse I'd like an alabaster coupe with >50k miles.

Yea, she's right. Most people here like to KEEP the car once they get it.
What happens in 5 years when they are 12, 7 and 5 ?

I forgot that they grew...it is a problem.

You have got your priorities right. A compromise exists if you have a garage, however. Buy the lowest mileage Crossfire you can find and park it. The kids will leave at some point and life begins anew.

Both my kids love riding in mine, but only one at a time.
I drive my 2-4 hours twice a week for work, don't really need a backseat and hatch has lots of room for luggage.

Yeah...my FJ Cruiser is paid off and there's room for all of us in there and the Crossfire would be my ride to work. The price makes it an easy sell if I could fit the kids in an emergency.

I know my kids would get a kick out of having a sporty car for fun.

We'll have to see whether the angel or devil on my shoulders wins out. I really am most worried about the cost of maintenance wearing out my wife's tolerance...she's the more practical of the two.

It depends on what your wife's mood is when you put her on your shoulder

I am very comfortable in mine on long drives. well I can stand sitting in my XFIRE seat a Hella lot more than I can in other vechicles, partially due to having more fun driving it
