Default Who's up for a our own West Coast Shootout

December 13th DATE CHANGE

WE will have our own lane and trophy race

Track is going to be sprayed with VHT because of a NHRA King of the Track event going on that day, but I would recommend some drag radials if your looking to set your personal best. Usually this time of year the DA will get down into the 1000's which is pretty good, and it's smoking fast.

Track address is
19421 W. Jomax Rd.
Wittmann, AZ 85361

2. Tazz xf (1)?

There's not much of a "West Coast" group to do a shootout. Hopefully the other cities/states are better, but here in Las Vegas I'm the only SRT-6 that races.

If you'll let a lowly Limited in, I'm game (ok, I'm mod'ed a lot, but no SC!)

I could be up for this. I would take some vaca time and drive south till it gets warm....
It's only a two day trip to there...Dec 7 or 14th might work......

There are lots of West coast guys..we are just further apart than the East coast guys.

Yep, there are 2 srt's in tucson, 3 more on the east side, and 3 or 4 of us on the west side. I'm the only one who hit's the track on the west side. Plus we have quite a few C32's as well. Yes limited's too. Heck NewCrossfire loves to hit the track down there in Tucson as much as I do. Anybody else on dates. If MikeR is coming he's coming the farthest so I'd be more willing to accomodate the date he prefers. I'm open any of those dates. The 14th would guarantee cool weather.

Where would this be in Arizona? Is the $25 for one run only or is it for all day? I'm interested. Us So Cal folk were tentatively kicking around a late fall get together and this may be a good way to meet, assuming we want to do the drive.

I'm interested. Im in Tucson. Where is speedworld? Its site didn't really say. Its not exactly easy for me to get to phx but I could arrange something..... If you guys pick a solid date I'll be there.

I've NEVER been to a drag strip soooo, club day or sunday or whatever means nothing to me, I'm screwed either way.

Tucson would be great for me, only 70 miles away.
Phoenix (Speedway) is another story.

Phoenix is closer to Vegas, about 3:45 to 4 hours away. Tucson is about 5:20 hours to 6 hours. Depends how fast you drive.

But yeah, I would never make the PHX guys drive to Tucson, I'd probably feel bad during the event haha. But, I will note SIR is right off I10, so PHX guys wouldn't have to drive inside Tucson....

But whatever, I'll go wherever it ends up.

This map is a couple of miles off but close enough

http://maps.google.com/maps?sourceid...=1&sa=N&tab=wl

$25 is for either test n' tune or trophy, and you can always test n' tune after trophy. You can definately hot lap all you want.

On another note... Any Tucson guys want to run up Mt Lemmon one of these weekends? Nothing big, no get together, just run up together and drive together... I do it once a month so it'd be cool to go up with other crossfires.

Does anyone actually have the Tucson guys' names?

Not to hijack the thread, so yeah I'll be at whatever dragstrip get-together you schedule.

It usually takes me about 4 hours to get to Vegas. Were about 45 mins west of phoenix. On US 60 and Loop 303. From Vegas you would hit Kingman then to Wickenburg and were only 30 minutes from there.

From Tucson, hit the I-10 and stay on it through phoenix until your heading west and exit the 303 head north to Grand Ave. then NW to track about 10 minutes.

From Cali get on the I-10 heading east to Loop 303 and the same from there.

From San Diego head east on I-8 to Gila Bend, then north to I-10, east to Loop 303 and the same from there.

If it looks good I'll get hotel information for those who need it.

Hey guys! I'm down for any of those dates!

I have a C32 located in Tucson (for whoever wanted to know). I love going to the track. Wish my car could handle a little better around Mt Lemmon like I imagine your SRT-6's might, but I might be down!

Mt Lemmon with a lunch some where sounds cool.

Here's a better map of where Speedworld is in Phoenix.

I am game except for the late December dates. I might get the wife to drive my WRX too.

Got it. Thats the date we would like to shoot for. It's early enough to not mess with Christmas plans others may have. Study, Study, Study. No hot parties, ok but take pictures for us. LOL.
