Just to update... P/N 2028207310 is compatible with P/N 2108206210. Just bought this one on Ebay for $41.98: Free shipping and ONE year warranty to boot!

After looking up the MFG. P/N SMP RU567 I found the same part made by Standard Motor Products listed on RockAuto for $179.99.

OEM manufacturer was Behr, but if they're not reliable and need replacement, then this might be a viable alternative. Just sayin ...

Let us know what you think after install. Price seems right, and if RockAuto has been supplying the same manufacturer, this might be a good source.

Re: Blower motor resistor
Yup. It's a very common problem on Mercedes and BMWs that use the same type resistor. My air will blow full blast no matter what the fan speed setting is until I jiggle the ****, then she'll go back to normal speed.
My thought exactly. I could have gone a little cheaper and done the Hong Kong buy, but never had much luck with Chinese parts. These looked somewhat legit and were available here in the states. That's why I took the plunge and bought 2. Both of my babies have blowers that are acting up.

Re: Blower motor resistor
Here's link to the pages in the manual showing replacement steps for resistor.
https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...r-resistor.pdf
The 2 screws holding the resistor in place requires a T20 Torx tip.
Pics from another post...
Pic showing 3 prong connector(bottom) and the 2 sliding latches (yellow) that hold the cover in place
I just pulled off the red and blue cables and removed the 2 screws to remove resistor. Plugged them into the new resistor and replaced.

Re: Blower motor resistor
I finally got around to installing both of them about 2 weeks ago and both are working flawlessly.
I'm happy to announce that both are working exactly like they should of from the factory.
No problems with install.
The rubber potting on the connector ends was a nice touch.
Look to be perfect clones of the OEMs. No markings to indicate the mfg.
I say go for it.
The price is right!

I just ordered mine today.
My fan speed just started acting up about a month ago and a search here found your info.
My search also found this very informative post (link below) with a video which shows the procedure for replacement posted by MMZ_TimeLord
Gotta love this forum

Re: Blower motor resistor
Man. The things you gotta go through to find honest, low prices for the exact same part. Just did a little more scouring around the net and found that Amazon states the RU567 will not fit the Crossfire but the RU534 will for $235.44
Summit wants $289.97 for same part and these guys think it's worth $346.71!!!
2005 Chrysler Crossfire-srt-6 - Blower Motors and Parts Parts -MOPAR PARTS,STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS,AIRTEX ENG. MGMT. SYSTEMS- Auto Parts Direct To You
But I go back to RockAuto, who are cheaper @ $179.99 and they show that RU567 (which seems to be indicated for M/B SLK32 AMG) is compatible (or the same) as RU534 (indicated for SRT6).
STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS Part # RU567
And now the guy I bought from on Ebay just lowered his price to $33.84.
What a Racket!

Re: Blower motor resistor
I just received my replacement blower resistor this morning. I reviewed the install as given here, and also decided to replace my cabin filter at the same time. Took me 5 friggin hours...... ! But after all, I'm 78 yrs old, and I figured if Dave (180) could do it, I could. HaHaHa .... I've had both knees replaced, and have stenosis in my spinal cord, and the hardest part was contorting the ole body to get the best advantage. Used strap-on knee pads and a small mattress cushion the try to lay on, but got it done. Seems to work flawlessly.
The doctors say I'll be out of traction in 2 days. j/k

Now a good soaking in a hot whirlpool bath and a deep tissue massage and ya should be all good
Gald to know the part you bought is the same one I bought and it works !!!
I'll provide my full report after my install probably next weekend

At least the second one went a lot easier..!!
Rick-In-Memphis: Blower motor resistor
Hey, OneHundred80,
I wanted to send a shout-out to thank you for your reply to my request for help with the off & on problem I was having with the blower motor. I had thought it was the ECM, a much more expensive part, and I am/was trying to learn how to disassemble the dash to get that module out of the dash.
In reading your reply, I eventually stumbled upon "VALK's" removal/install video and now I feel that is the source and solution to my problem. Part (resistor) is ordered and on the way. Cost, less thank $50, and my labor putting it in.
Thanks so much.
