My 2005 SRT 6 Coupe had a fluttering noise at about 40 + mph...checked all plastic parts, wheel well, suspension parts...nothing lose...continued to drive and got much worse...now there is a clunking noise almost immediately when I get up to 5 mph..feels like the clunking noise is right underneath me....metal clunking for sure....no vibration in transmission or steering...feels like drive line??? I would advise putting the car on a lift or jack stands. Use all safety methods for lifting a car.
When the car is lifted, turn the drive shaft back and forth quickly and see if it makes that same noise. Most likely it is the driveshaft center support bearing.
You can replace this your self. The only thing you might need help with is pressing the new bearing onto the driveshaft. I had a shop press mine on for 25 bucks.

While you have everything apart, you might want to replace both flex joints.
