The ECU plays no role in door locking. The SKREEM only commands a door lock/unlock event when the FOB lock or unlock is pressed or when you use the key to turn the lock cylinder in the driver's door.

The autolock is a function that either exists in the CLP/SSM, or between the BCM and the CLP/SSM. I suspect it's all in the CLP/SSM but without monitoring the CAN BUS between the BCM and CLP/SSM, I cant say for sure.
One clue is that the console button is wired directly to the BCM. (SKREEM commands are also passed directly to the BCM - the BCM tells the CLP/SSM what to do over the CAN BUS that connects the BCM to the CLP/SSM.
