Thanks for the info, I actually decided to order an rcm. Whenever it gets here I will put it in and see if that fixes most of the issues, and if not atleast I have a backup for later. I just checked the battery and it's about 3 years old, so I will probably go ahead and replace it as well. I have a friend coming over this weekend and we are going to look at everything pretty thoroughly, the ground connections etc. and I had no idea about the alarm siren so thanks for bringing that to my attention. I also just checked and the passenger side carpet and it is a little damp so I will take a look at that.
I forgot, if you have an OBD2 scanner, you might want to check for codes. If the scanner doesn't recognize the Crossfire, scan it as a 2003 Mercedes-Benz SLK 320.
If you don't have one usually a parts store will scan the car for you.
Amazon has them for a decent price if you want to buy one. There are other models, but the CRP 123 was recommended to me.
