E-bikes are fairy new and growing . HP is limited "techneacally" to under 28 MPH. Many states are beginning to enact legislation limiting E-Bikes like motorcycles. Depending on top speeds and HP.
My three bike go 28MPH and can be easily modded to40 MPH. The laws currently vary widely from state to state with New York and New Jersey being the most draconian so far. Cities are also passing their own regulations.
E-bike prices are dropping from several thousands of dollars to many under $300.00 making them very affordable to many households.
This summer will see a lot of proliferation as the number of E-bike owners increases exponentially.
