Sometimes when the battery starts to go bad weird things start to happen with the electronics. There should be a date code on your battery. If it's more than 3 years old you might want to change it or at least have it tested.
Hi Thanks for your response to my question, my original battery was replaced with a Varta 096 (77ah) battery in October 2017, while the battery is coming 9 years old I will add I am pretty sure the battery is still in good condition, the car always starts first time on the key, also I have a trickle charger on a timer wired up to the car battery to keep it topped up. Nevertheless I will have it tested.
