By using a good gauge and checking every few weeks, I have never had a TPM light in the year and a half I've owned the car.
Definitely not ridiculous. I've got one of those pop-out types I've been using for years. I figure it's not terribly accurate, and have considered getting something better. Maybe it's time I did that.
