I sure hope its an easily found & fixed problem when you get it to the dealer. And if they installed the door sill and it proves to be the problem then you have every right to request they take care of it - all the way to getting them to replace the carpet. Sure you have a convertible that you drive more with the top down, but if it does not dry out properly, you are going to have a nasty smelling car.
You know, we get some pretty nasty storms down here in the Tampa Bay area all the time - just had a bad one yesterday. I have not had any water leaks with my car at all other then an occasional drop that comes from where the top seals against the door/window, but that's it. I can live with that because thats part of owning a convertible.
My fingers are crossed for you!!
