What do you guys make of this? It seems unlikely that Chrysler would set up a stamping operation in the US for a relatively small number of parts.
All of the original body parts are produced by the Karmann factory in Germany, that being said, The Karmann factory may have a US operation that produces replacement parts for all of their coach works models. VW, AUDI, MB etc... Or they could have licensed a US outfit to produce replacement parts.

If you really want the answer, do a google search and see if Karmann has a US operation or affiliate.
