American body parts?
I recently had to have body work done on the Crossfire after hitting a deer. A reputable local shop (not the dealer) did the work. The said that the first hood that Chrysler sent wouldn't fit. According to the dealer this part was American made. They had to request a replacement for this and got another part that was made in Germany. They said the second hood fit without any problems.
What do you guys make of this? It seems unlikely that Chrysler would set up a stamping operation in the US for a relatively small number of parts.

If you really want the answer, do a google search and see if Karmann has a US operation or affiliate.
