Default Re: Are K&Ns really that effective?

The only time I really noticed a hair of difference was in the throttle response. At lower RPM's it responded just a tick better than with the stock air filters. Where I really noticed a difference was when I put my #14200 magnaflow on. After inspecting the stock muffler, this makes sense due to the fact that the stock piping in the muffler does an "S" to quiet the noise.

The K+N's on their own didn't do much, but coupled with a little exhaust work, I could actually feel a difference.
