I just came across Black Magic Tire Gel at the local AutoZone store. I don't know how long it's
been out with the built in sponge applicator, but it is the next best thing since sliced bread, easy
to apply, no mess... and IMO looks good.

Yes, I know I need to pull the wheels off and give them a good cleaning on the inside of the rims
along with the brakes...
