Just the convenience and avoiding the necessary clean up afterwards...I've always washed my cars in my drive. We were all surprised a few months ago when Andrew said he never/or rarely washes in his drive, but at the self washes. Surprised because if you know Andy, he's the Felix Unger (F.U. for short) of our XF forum, many of us just assumed that he spent countless hours in his driveway getting his car to look as spectacular as it usually does!

Sorry, but I just got back from the Wash and my wife said "You were at the car wash again weren't you?"...."but hon, there was this muck in the wells and I just had to stop..." "yeah, yeah, yeah, you need to see someone about this obsession".
