I need some advice on installing the Green Stuff brake pads. I consider myself to be reasonably mechanical but I have never installed brake pad on any of my cars so I have a couple of questions. In the notes for the Green Stuff pads it states gThese pads are not fitted with original anti-rattle shims. Please DO NOT attempt to fit shims from worn pads onto these units which will cause an over-thickness situation resulting in pad dragh. What does that mean exactly? Are anti-rattle clips and anti-rattle shims the same thing? It also calls for using high temperature brake grease on the caliper piston and on the outside of the pad where it contacts the caliper. Can I buy this grease at any auto parts store? I would really appreciate any advice that you nice folks might have to offer. Thanks in advance.
