Ok guys lets be nice here. No need to bash the car. Personally, I prefer the older turbo models of the RX7. The current styling just doesn't do it for me. I'm sure we can expect to see a turbo model in a few years. That is if they expect to move the cars off of the lot. However, much like our expected SRT6, the price will go up.
The auto transmission would outshift the RX7, no problem. Just do a little brake torquing off the line for the launch. Make sure traction control is turned off. Don't do this too hard or you'll roast the rear tires! $$$
Finally, the only real way to tell is to get these cars on the track. Real world results, not some professional who spent all day and night at a track to squeeze out that extra tenth of a second in the 1/4.
Reminds me of everyone who said the s2000 is good for a 13.8 second run in the 1/4. Ever time my friend took his to the track, 14.5's give or take.
