When I first got my car the FSS read 7000 miles. This morning it read 4700. BUT, I had not followed the instructions and warmed the engine then let it sit 5 minutes. Oh, maybe the was for the electronic oil level check (which I never did get to come up despite following the instructions both from this board and the manual).
