Maybe some of you have had experience with both but conical shaped intakes are more widely used.
I'm starting to buy the parts for my intake and wanted to know if there is any difference (other than design) between the normal conical filter and a reverse conical filter. The difference is in the picture and it seems as though the reverse conical can directly take in air through the front (or top) of the filter possibly eliminating hotter air allowing more cool air into the intake.
So my question is, does anyone know of any gains by the different design. The description does tout more and better airflow due to the open top design whereas the universal conical one takes in air all around it rather than directly.
