Highway Challenges
It doesn't matter how slow or how fast I drive, every time I take my Crossfire on a limited access highway, somebody wants to race.
I'm not making this up. It seems as though it happens every single time.
Yesterday was a beautiful day, my Wife and I went for real nice 65 mile ride in town, and around the outskirts. I wasn't on the X-way 5 minutes when I see a sport bike in my mirror about 1/8 mile behind me when traffic passed me because I was cruising just under 60 mph (so my spoiler would stay down). No sooner than he spots me, he was instantly beside me, and then he started to bait me by speeding up and slowing down in short little bursts of speed. Now I don't make a habit of racing 10 second bikes with my Viper, so I'm certainly not going to race one in my Crossfire. I just ignored him, and eventually he moved on.
Later on some young guy comes down an on ramp in what looks like an old and now "unmarked" white Ford police car with loud exhaust, and a 30 day tag on the back. I hear him hop on it so he can catch up to me, he passes, then slows down and stays right beside me for about a mile, speeding up just enough to make his exhaust even more annoying than it already was, then only to slow down just enough to pace me again. Once again, I ignored him too, and eventually he sped off.
I've owned alot of sports cars, and muscle cars over the years, but I can't remember ever having one that seems to bring out the "boy racer" in nearly every other guy that sees it, like the Crossfire does.
Does anybody else have this problem?
