In some cases I am for debadging as it makes the car come out cleaner. But never because I am trying to hide what it is. I would rather been known as driving a Chrysler than to be known as a poser.
If anything the Chrysler badge hides what the car is and putting on the MB badge would in my eyes make more sense than leaving the chrysler badge... and yes I am embarrassed to be driving a chrysler and for this reason did not purchase a chrysler... I purchased a mercedes benz with a chrysler sticker on it... took of the chrysler sticker and now i am left happy with just the mercedes benz i wanted...
Again for your second paragraph the chrysler badge hides what it is... o yea and poser? There are so many little mercedes and amg markings i find in my car while looking through the engine and other places, but haven't really seen a mopar, chrysler marking... hm... I wonder why is that?!?
