i think when you are talking about "class" of car, you should look at the bottom line. the bottom line is the srt can not even come close to competing with others in their price range. like the real mercedes, or other $47,000 (srt roadster) price range cars. no retractable hard top available, the interior and extras are to be kind, quite pitiful. just look at the real mercedes, the custom looking curvature of the dash, the multi material look, the basic luxury options, trunk release, steering wheel audio controls, that lame ***. gps setup with discs, the srt could have been so much more for so little more attention to detail. it is as basic an interior and extras package car you will ever see in a 330 hp for $47,000. imho.

SRT6's with under 100 miles can be bought for around 27k these days. So, compare it to something that costs in the mid 20's not 47k. I hope you did not pay the MSRP on your limited.

Apart from me, that is! Am owner of 53 blaze coupe. And proud of it. It still has badge; I have no wish for it to appear as anything other than it is. I do appreciate that people are entitled to have their own views on this and have enjoyed reading this thread.

Seems to me that you should have bought a viper instead. You complain about the car that you bought with "I hope" your own money and didnt even have to travel to Germany to get it. You have changed everything on the car. Why dont you just go to the antique show and buy a real american car like a chevy vega or maybe even a ford pinto. Great cars I must say hehe. I bought the srt roadster because it didnt have the german badges on it. I think the mercedes is a very plain european looking car and just doesnt have the flair and character the srt has. Maybe you dont have a crossfire afterall. Could it be you have a firecross and you cannot apreciate it?

it cannot compare to cars of its class? retractable hardtop? are you serious? the only car with a retractable hardtop in its class (sort of) is the slk and the slk's msrp is NOTICEABLY more than the crossfire's the SRT Crossfire MSRP is equivalent to the slk280 price and if i were to choose between the two cars AGAIN I would not hesitate and take the SRT Crossfire... like I did a year ago...

and no other class anywhere near the crossfire price range comes with a retractable hard top... extras? what extras do you need man? the sound system is decent, the gps is only favored by some... I could not care less if my car had it or not.. you are right though that the dash could of been a bit better, but it is a real mercedes dash compare it to the previous generation slk you will find that the difference is MINIMAL... (no dumb cup holder).

I was unaware that the base Crossfire can out handle and out brake a 350z track and S2K.

You have to ignore nascarhq, He's just a lib, and as being a lib goes, he must have something to complain about or he's not happy.

Now the smudge on watching nascar, I watch nascar, I also watch IRL, Champ, and Formula1. Nascar is a great sport and a different kind of racing compared to the other 3. All of which I enjoy. You may ask, how the hell do you watch that much racing. DVR. I absolutely love them. I can record them including F1 Qualifying and watch them in the morning before I go to work. By the way I don't remember who it was, but you ruined last weeks Grand Prix for me by not putting warning tags before announcing the winner of the Race.
