Default Re: BAS ESP light - ABS Module

This sounds like the problem I had a few months ago. Wet, snowy morning and I spun the tires a bit pulling out of the parking lot at work to go to the bank. All those wonderful lights came on as did yours. My spoiler also came up and I couldn't put it down. Felt silly sitting at the drive thru teller with my spoiler up. Only until I turned the car off could I retract the spoiler. I tried to re set the Bas ESP light as the manual instructed and no luck so after lunch I made an appointment to have it checked. By the way the manual does say if its a serious ESP problem your car may have power issues. Mine never did. So for about six hours when the car was started, lights would come on and the spoiler would go up. I come out from work, start the car and everything had returned to normal. I waited a few days to make sure and cancelled the appointment. So far (KOW) so good. The other day I spun the tires in the rain and the ESP light lit but went back out when the car stopped swerving. Good luck with your issue.
