Unhappy The fan won't shut off! *update*

Hi all,
Been lurking and learning for a bit on your forum, and today picked up a new 2005 Limited coupe that's been sitting on one of my local dealer's lot.
I love the car so far, except something's wrong w/ the rad. cooling fan-it won't shut off! The engine's not too hot (needle's just below mid-way) so I'm not sure why it's even on in the first place, but the only way I can stop it is to disconnect one of the battery cables. I test drove a 2004 model w/ 40000 km earlier in the week, and never heard the fan once.
When I push the A/C button or the recirculate button, the little light doesn't come on either-any chance there's a connection?
(they said they'd had to boost it this am before I got there as it'd been sitting so long-connection?)
I know it'll get fixed under warranty, but I'd like to drive it some tomorrow and it's a bit embarrassing to have to lift the hood and remove a battery cable each time I get out!
Any ideas appreciated!
