Hi my fellow Xfire owners from "across the lake" I went to see Chrysler yesterday and they confirmed that they too believed it was a "stress crack" and would call Chrysler warranty to establish if it was covered...guess what ?...it is !...but as the car is over 12 months old it isn't. I said as I had only done 5,000 miles and it is 18 months old, it may have taken longer for the problem to manifest itself... still no go, they won't cover it.

I am sorting it through my insurance now and have to pay an excess of £60...($120 ??? to you lot).

I just hope the new windscreen (Windshield) is identical in tint, sun shield and other black print to blend in with the style.
