Perhaps in cold weather areas that may have some bearing but I think not, I live in Florida so getting the car warm is easy. Since this problem deals with the IC keeping the SC running cooler I do not think warming the engine has much to do with it. If there is coolant in the system to keep water from freezing then cold weather really makes this car run much better in my experience. Keep in mind these cars are designed and build in Germany, the weather there can be very cold, I lived there for seven years.
