Here are the official calendar year production numbers from Karman up to the end of 2006. I just remembered that I had previously found these numbers in their annual report. Unfortunately, they do not break it down by engine type. These figures are often confused with production by model year or yearly calendar year sales. According to Karmann's figures, they were more Roadsters produced in 2005-2006 calendar year than Coupes. The reason people see more Coupes is the fact that they were the only XFs produced in 2003 with the exception of the 19 Roadsters. (Those were most likely test cars and display cars). Those 19 roadsters may also become collectibles in due time. Please remember that the Karmann numbers are total production, not just U.S. I hope this help clarify the Wards production figures by Model Year.
