Total of 12 SRT-6 produced in 2006 Model Year
Yeah what happened to the numbers of 2,016 coupes and 928 roadsters? I see a coupe once in awhile but never see a SRT-6 roadster except in my garage.
RPM,
Here are the official calendar year production numbers from Karman up to the end of 2005. I just remembered that I had previously found these numbers in their annual report. Unfortunately, they do not break it down by engine type. These figures are often confused with production by model year or yearly calendar year sales. According to Karmann's figures, they were more Roadsters produced in 2004-2005 calendar year than Coupes. The reason people see more Coupes is the fact that they were the only XFs produced in 2003 with the exception of the 19 Roadsters (Those were most likely test cars and display cars). Those 19 roadsters may also become collectibles in due time. I'm still searching for their 2006 calendar year production numbers. Also remember that the Karmann numbers are total production, not just U.S. I hope this help clarify the Wards production figures by Model Year.
2003 Calendar Year = Coupe: 18,470 - Roadster: 19 - Total 2003 = 18,489
2004 Calendar Year = Coupe: 19,426 - Roadster: 16,250 - Total 2004 = 35,676
2005 Calendar Year = Coupe: 4,126 - Roadster: 8,329 - Total 2005 = 12,455
Total Calendar Years = Coupe: 42,022 - Roadster: 24,598 - Grand Total = 66,620
