Default New to the Crossfire

I recently purchased a new 2006 Crossfire as my first new car, even if it is over a year old. I did a lot of research and this forum has been extremely helpful in making my decision. I will add that no matter how much discussion there is about the cup holder, there is no preparing for the reality.

I do have an initial question that I haven't seen covered previously and I know it may sound strange but, Should the car have a oil dipstick? The day after I got the car home, I decided to check the oil. Pulled what I thought was the dipstick and to my surprise I found a 'plug' in its place. Called the dealer who sold me the car and they weren't extremely helpful, talked to a local dealer who told me that depending on my VIN number I won't have an oil dipstick. Has anyone else heard of this? Any info would be helpful.

If I didn't say it before, thanks to everyone who has contributed to this forum. Your experiences have been paramount in helping me choose the Crossfire.
