You Brits get all that rain and here in SoCal we can go 9 months at a time without a drop. It's sort of like cheating to say "I never take my car out in the rain" when you live here!!
LOL! My '70 911 was imported from Orange County and I don't think it had seen rain in 20 years, all the screen rubbers were rock hard. I think it rained for three months solid after I got it and it leaked like a sieve.
