Every once and a while, we have start at an autocross that is foot-to-the-floor straight. In Previous solo cars, (mostly big V8/automatics) I would hold the brakes and feed a bit of throttle until torque converter flash and then bury the throttle and lift the brake to take off.
My question is how do you autocrossers launch with the autostick? How much throttle/brake will the ecu allow before interfering?
As and update, I've now done three solos, all local. I've had two firsts and a second place finish and am now in first place in points. And before anyone asked, yes it is a undersubscribed class here in the land of Oz.
