And as you suggested the Corvette, it was a number of years before the Corvette became a success. It too was almost cancelled and it suffered from much more anemic performance from its initial Blue Flame Six than the Crossfires. Took many changes to its make up before it took off and became the icon it is today. Chances are that won't happen with the Crossfire as it began life with roots in 2 places and production in a third. I think they would sooner give up on changing a car whose production is out of their control and start with a clean slate (maybe the Demon). I'm all for another year of production though or at least as long as it takes for me to order a new one.
